Samaritan

Good Samaritan Ministries was created out of the persecuted underground church of the former Soviet Union, with a heart and burden to reach the people of that land. Before former leader/president Pavel Radchuk passed away, he said. “If I die, I know that ministry in Chukotka (Far East Russia) is started and going well, and it will continue. But now we must turn towards India!” The next day, he died in a plane crash.
As we prayed, the Lord spoke to us about going to India. In November 2003 Yuriy Radchuk, Mike Khochay, Alex Kovalchuk, and myself-all of Good Samaritan Ministries-made our first trip to India. God united our hearts and ministry with the ministry of Inidan Evangelical Team…and we now support the ministry and evangelization of the world’s second largest country, where 1/6th of the world’s population lives.
While in India, we were shocked at the deep strongholds of false religions and idol worship-80 percent of Indians are Hindu and 15 percent are Muslim. Our hearts were broken. And we felt a heavy burden to see India evangelized. The harsh poverty, illiteracy, false religions, dead gods, and persecution that prevail there are all hindrances to reaching the people with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
We were privileged to spend Thanksgiving Day with orphans in India. Four our dinner, we spent $40 US dollars and bought rice, 13 chickens, apples, bananas, oranges, and cake to feed about 40 people, 28 of whom were orphans. For many in India-who usually eat only rice-that kind of dinner is a rare treat. Maybe next year, at your Thanksgiving dinner, you will think about people in other parts of the world and pray for those who are not as fortunate as we are in the USA.
Bible Schools-We had the opportunity to meet and minister to students of several Bible Schools in India. We are positive that their dedication and prayer is going to bring great revival to India. Some, not having a second sweater, often sleep, study and minister in the same sweater. We purchased new sweaters for the students to wear in the winter. Classes are often held in the open, under the trees.
Pastors’ Seminars-We ministered in three pastor’ meetings, and met over hundred pastors while in India. Many shared stories of harsh persecution and beatings, but also told about miracles, healing, and their dedication to reach the unreached at any cost.
Since returning from India, Good Samaritan Ministries has adopted into our mission, the vision and the mission of Indian Evangelical Team:
To Reach the Unreached at Any Cost!
